Joel Mathai is an ordained Bishop of Church of God Full Gospel Church. He is an accomplished urban ministry leader with a background in ministries and church development. He has previously served as an evangelist among the Sindhi community and has established churches in different parts of North India and the Middle East. Currently serves as Academic Dean and Professor of Mission and Intercultural Studies at Gilgal Biblical Seminary Dubai. He also serves as the senior pastor of Emirates Christian Fellowship. As a professor of Bible and mission, he is particularly excited about academically integrating the Bible and mission into missional practices that students can carry out in the context of their life and ministry. His area of interest is inter-cultural studies, communication, contextual missiology, interreligious pluralism, theology and culture, and Pentecostal missiology.
