Professor Francis’ passion for teaching and calling to equip the next generation of ministers converge in the classroom, creating an environment where students are encouraged to expand their ministry potential. She draws on her professional experience teaching public high school, ministry experience in youth, children, women, administrative and Christian education pastorates and creative arts experience in writing, drama, music and dance. In addition to her adjunct teaching position at SUM, Melanie is an ordained minister with the Assembly of God serving with her husband and their four children in their native Long Island, New York community.
