Dr. Hamme works in the area of the Old Testament and Israelite religion in its larger, ancient Near Eastern context, especially Genesis in the context of Mesopotamian domestic religion, and the Psalms in the context of Mesopotamian rituals and ritual prayers. He has pastored in Rural Kansas, and worked with Filipino immigrants in the Los Angeles area, and with Filipino churches in the Philippines. He is SUM’s Biblical Studies Department Chair.
