Ph.D., University of Nottingham (2014); M.A. in History, Miami University (2005); B.A. with Honors in History and Philosophy, Longwood University (2002)
With a Ph.D. from the University of Nottingham (UK), Dr. Walker specializes in Pentecostal history and theology. Prior to his work with SUM, he served as a missionary with Iris Global in northern Mozambique for five years. While there, he led evangelistic outreaches, taught at the Bible school, and served in other capacities. It was in Mozambique that he especially learned the value of narrative, story-telling, and the creative impact of drama. His particular areas of research include miracles, memory, and the history of doctrine. As a teacher, he encourages a dialogical environment and helps facilitate discussion-based learning.
