Being Ready to Share

By Dr. Scott Camp

Ravi Zacharias went home last week.

As you probably know, Ravi was a potent force in the field of Christian Apologetics for almost five decades. His many works include, “Can Man Live Without God?” That’s a great question. It was St Augustine who offered up the prayerful words, “Thou hast made us for Thyself and our hearts are restless until we find our rest in Thee.” We are indeed living in a “restless” age.

The Pandemic has forced millions of Americans to come to grips with their restless hearts. This is an historic time to “buy up every opportunity” (Eph. 5:16) to “give an answer to every man who asks you for a REASON of the hope that is within you” (I Pet. 3:15). This is Ravi’s legacy. He helped us formulate answers to the questions seekers often ask.

SUM is committed to helping equip you to do the same. While there are various approaches to the discipline of Apologetics, e.g., Classical, Evidential, Presuppositional, Fideistic, the goal of every approach is the same; namely, to remove the barriers to belief in order to bring people to Jesus.

I encourage you to make good use of this quarantine. Sharpen your apologetic chops. Pick up a copy of Ravi’s book and read it. People are searching for answers right now. Let’s be ready to “give ‘em Jesus.”
