At School of Urban Missions we understand that finances can be very difficult and that the financial aid process can be intidimating. This is why SUM is committed to providing students with information available on financial aid resources. These resources will enable you to fulfill your educational and professional goals. Our vision is to provide our students with the best education at the lowest possible cost. Students are asked to apply for Pell Grant or loan assistance with FAFSA online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Here are the steps to take to complete your financial aid.

Be sure to meet the school's deadline, or you will not be able to get federal student aid. Whether You're selected for verification or not, make sure the financial aid office at the school has all the information needed to determine your eligiblity.
5. First-Time Applicants: review award letters from schools to compare amounts and types of aid being offered. Decide which school to attend based on a combination of (a) how well the school suits your needs and (b) its affordability after all aid is taken into account.
